Adolescence
Everyone remembers how good it felt to be going to their grandparents house when they were younger. Well I felt the same way. Every day, for six years, I went to my grandparents before elementary school. My older sister and I were curious every morning what our grandma made us for breakfast. When we got to their house we would sit down at the kitchen table and finish any homework we had while we waited for breakfast to be ready. My grandpa worked for Bank One downtown. I can visualize him putting his tie on in the bathroom next to the kitchen. He had a daily routine and so did we. I can remember these early mornings like it was yesterday. Time flies and you don't even realize it.

Hi Cory,
ReplyDeleteGood details--I like that your grandpa and you both had routines. Can you think of one particular time before school? Perhaps something happened that stayed with you to this day?
I agree with what she said. The fact that both of you have a routine is cool, but throwing in one particular visit that something different happened would make the story so much more deep. But, I always look forward to breakfast too!
